Dr Swan Sim Yeap is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Subang Jaya Medical Centre, Selangor, Malaysia. Her previous appointments include Associate Professor and Head of the Rheumatology Unit at the Department of Medicine, University of Malaya, Malaysia.
She is the current President of the Malaysian Osteoporosis Society, a Past President of the Malaysian Society of Rheumatology, and was previously a Vice-President of the Asia-Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR), Asian Federation of Osteoporosis Societies (AFOS) and Persatuan SLE Malaysia. She is currently the Finance Committee Chairperson for APLAR.
She was the Chairperson of the Working Group for the 2022 Clinical Guidance on the Management of Osteoporosis, was the Co-Chairperson of the Working Group for the 2012 and 2015 Clinical Guidance on the Management of Osteoporosis. Her research interests focus on osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
