A. Karataev was born in 1970 in the Moscow region, Russia. In 1993 he graduated from the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy. Since 1993, he has been working at the V.A. Nasonova Research Institute of Rheumatology, Moscow, Russian Federation. In 2006, he received the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. Currently, he heads the Department of Inflammatory joint Diseases. A.Karateev studies the problems of pain, the effectiveness and safety of therapy for rheumatic diseases.
