Prof Dasgupta is a foremost exponent of GCA,PMR and large vessel vasculitis and ultrasonography for these conditions. He has published nearly 400 original articles on these conditions. He has developed concept of GCAPMR spectrum disease (GPSD) and developed the Fast track GCA pathway,Southend GCA probability score,Halo score and the HASGCA score – aprediction tool for GCA.He has led the APLAR online course on Point of Care Rheumatology ultrasound (POCRUS) and has trained several clinicians and researchers from India, Europe and wider Asia Pacific.
