He has obtained MD in General Medicine in 2019 from the University of Colombo and subsequently worked as a speciality doctor in neuro rehabilitation from December 2021 to November 2023 at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, Reading, UK. He has also completed a diploma in Musculoskeletal medicine from Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, UK and holds a diplomate membership of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, United Kingdom since October 2023. He currently works as a consultant in rehabilitation medicine in the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ragama, Sri Lanka; which is the largest rehabilitation hospital in Sri Lanka with a bed capacity of over 150 for in-patient rehabilitation.
