Professor Michael Tee is the Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Manila, the country’s national health sciences center. He is a specialist in internal medicine and rheumatology, and holds the title of University Scientist I. He has authored over 60 journal articles and book chapters, reflecting his active involvement in the field of rheumatology, artificial intelligence, COVID-19 and one health. He is a member of the Asia Pacific Lupus Collaboration, and is chair of the Southeast Asia One Health University Network.
As chancellor, he is in the forefront of Academic, Government, Industry Leader Engagement (AGILE) while espousing Innovations in teaching and learning, Discovery and research, Environment enhancement and Accessibility of leaders (IDEA).
