Dr Poon is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Haematology-Oncology at NCIS. After receiving her undergraduate medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2001, she continued her internal medicine training before obtaining her membership from the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2004. She then undertook her advanced specialist training in haematology and obtaining her membership from the Royal College of Pathologists of the United Kingdom for haematology in 2009. She continues to be active in both undergraduate and postgraduate training for haematology and is currently an adjunct associate professor with the Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
