Currently he is Director and Head of Department (Rheumatology) at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket and Arthritis Rheumatism & Pain Clinic from New Delhi, India. Dr PD Rath has expertise and renowned for his clinical acumen for treating various type of autoimmune and rheumatological disorders which includes Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, SLE Scleroderma, Gout, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Sjogrens Syndrome, Sarcoidosis and other Connective Tissue Disorders. He is among very few rheumatologists in India who established musculoskeletal ultrasound in Rheumatology and Nail Fold Capillaroscopy and actively involved to start musculoskeletal ultrasound Workshops and training for Rheumatology trainees and other Rheumatologists. Apart this has been associated with several renown national and international Rheumatology groups like IRA, BSR,ACR , EULAR, APLAR and many more.
