Dr. Sakit Mahmud is a Bangladeshi physician. He built his career as an Internal Medicine Specialist (Internist). He has been serving his nation as a physician since 2012. Currently he is posted as Junior Consultant of Medicine and working as Deputy Program Manager -01 of Hospital Services Management Operational Plan of DGHS under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). He completed his MBBS degree under University of Dhaka. He was an Internal Medicine resident of Chittagong Medical College under Residency Program of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and completed MD in Internal Medicine in year 2021. He is specially trained from Rheumatology Department of BSMMU in the field of Nailfold Video-capillaroscopy (NVC). He was trained on this field under close supervision of Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Former Chairman. Of Department of Rheumatology, BSMMU. His research topic in postgraduation was related to Nailfold Video-capillaroscopy in SLE, correlation with SLE disease activity Index and comparison with healthy subjects. He is also a member of American College of Physicians (ACP) with good standing and certified Diabetologist by BADAS.
