Dr Vinod Ravindran is a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Centre for Rheumatology, Calicut, Kerala, India. He is an adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. Dr Ravindran’s special interests are medical academic publishing and reproductive rheumatology. Currently, he is a Co-Editor of Rheumatology (Oxford) and has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (2018-2021) and the Indian Journal of Rheumatology (2016-2018).
He has an active research portfolio and is an avid contributor to medical literature with over 160 publications, 10 books, 30 book chapters, and 4 journal supplements. He has over 1700 citations, an H index of 20, and an i10 index of 37.
He received the Nature Travel Award in 2013 and was awarded the prestigious IRA Oration 2023 and IMA’s Prof Shridhar Sharma Oration 2023. He is currently the honorary secretary of the Indian Rheumatology Association.
