Dr. Wafa Madanat received her PhD degree in Rheumatology in 1993 from the Institute of Rheumatology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Moscow, Russia. “Thesis “Behcet’s Disease- Clinical and Immunological Studies”
She was awarded FRCP (London) in 2018,
She is a consultant rheumatologist, practicing in Jordan.
She was a Principal Investigator- several International Multicenter Clinical Trials 2010-2011.2018-2019, 2019-2022.
She is a Member of Editorial Board, Journal of the Royal Medical Services- Jordan, and Scientific Reviewer, Local and International journals.
She is a founding member of the Jordanian Society of Rheumatology, Chairman of Scientific Committee from 2004-2010, President from 2022- now.
Dr. Wafa Madanat is a member of the International Society for Behcet’s Disease; Convener of study group- Education, 2004-2016, Council member 2000-2006, 2010-now.
She published articles in International peer reviewed journals with more than 1700 citations, and presented abstracts to national and International conferences.
