Yoshitaka Kimura is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Teikyo University of Medicine. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he worked as a Rheumatologist in the Department of Internal Medicine at Teikyo University of Medicine for 10 years. Currently, he is conducting basic research in his current position, focusing on innate immunity and immunometabolism. In particular, he has been studying the involvement of uric acid and innate inflammation and has reported on the involvement of uric acid in atherosclerosis. Currently, his main research interest is the effects of uric acid in psoriasis and its complications.
